Big Sky Diner in Ypsilanti

Great diner, owner and staff are cool. Night time crowd is very diverse, day time crowd can be irksome. This has become a hub for the reactionary far right faction of Ypsilanti and township, but it's still worth supporting the business. Most of the stuff uses better ingredients than the local Coneys and there is something for everybody on the menu. Definitely the most underrated spot in Ypsilanti. Good prices and service. No frills and no stress.

Go to Big Sky Diner for the experience, not for the food. A 50s-styled neighborhood eatery, it has loads of atmosphere. And the menu offers the kind of homey comfort foods kids were raised on in the 50s and 60s. Tuna casserole, stuffed cabbage, meatloaf, stuffed peppers, spaghetti. The prices are low, and the servings are generous. Generally the food is unremarkable---overcooked, mushy, lacking in flavor. But it's definitely worth the experience to check it out.

This place is very dirty, and incredibly smelly. Waitress was nice, otherwise they'd get 1 star. Food was nothing special.

Just visited there for my first time tonight as I'm from Texas so I'm new here... Food was amazing (Had the 1/2 LB burger and fries), waitress was friendly. Will definitely come back again soon. 🙂

Great service for a group of 15. And the good was great. Atmosphere could be better, but would definitely eat there again!

Good breakfast specials good lunch and dinner specials highly recommend the food especially the home fries cooked potatoes.

Love this place. The food is good, reasonably priced and the service team are always on top of their game. I love their breakfast combos and their burgers. Stop in for some good food and friendly people.

Went here with a friend who likes the place. Food was alright. Seemed like a good cleaning was needed. The wall near our table was gross. Not what I care to look at while I eat. Owner was nice.

Good food, however, I was very disappointed to see that no safety measures are in place. Not one staff member was wearing a mask. It’s almost as if this establishment is completely oblivious to the fact that there is a pandemic going on right now.

Best place I ate dinner. The owner was so kind, the service very good, food was excellent. I would highly reccomend this place.

Unsanitary practices shown as they. Served me, put the bowl of coffee creamer, on top of my water glass to bring it to my table. Did not refill drinks, and it was not even busy. Had to get other waitress to get water and coffee refills, forgot my toast. And another customer spilled his coffee and did not wipe it up, or mop or put up caution sign.also men's bathroom has a door right into kitchen, where cook came in and peed, and did not wash his hands when done. Sad

I eat here often and always enjoy the food. The prices are fair and the service is good. Had Fish & Chips on the senior menu tonight. The Cod was cooked to a flaky interior with a golden crust. Quite Good.

Great little diner with excellent food and excellent price's. They have a large menu to choose from and they also offer, call in pick up orders as a option. They have great hours, and great friendly staff/Owners, Tiffany is by far my favorite waitress, she makes you feel right at home while you're there. There's a big parking lot right out front with tons of room and the buliding/bathroom/seating is all wheelchair accessible. The food there is amazing and the servings are huge. Never once have I had a bad experience! I would definitely recommend checking out this cute little diner.

Food was great, service was great. I only had a minor issue with my drink which was immediately fixed. I will be back. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable. Just my kind of diner all around.

Been going here for around 3-4 years. We absolutely love it. The service is good. The good is delicious. It’s very family friends. And the chicken and dumpling soup is bomb 💣

Surprisingly great; Tara was a wonderful server. They didn't sandwich every one in to section one section just because; Tara ran around the entire restuarant. Best home fries since I have made them, the chef, Dave, knows what he is doing. We will definitely be back!

Food is okay at best. Open late though so great option for people working weird hours.

Great food, great deals, they don't skimp, super friendly staff, and a great atmosphere.Might be my favorite restaurant in Ypsi, definitely the one I frequent most!Try the Ypsilanti double burger, it's huge and delicious and STILL cheaper than most regular burgers. Add fries AND coleslaw for only 2$, and they fill the plate/box with fries.

Good food & service. Their food is homemade and they serve generous portions. Prices are very reasonable. The seating and booths could use a little updating. Open 24 hours so obviously if you don't order from the grill you may get something that has been re-heated.

Favorite place to get smelt. The food is great and the portions are generous. I was out running errands at night and stopped in to order some carry out. I went on running another errand while they were making it, got caught up, and by the time I got back they were closed. I mistakenly thought they were open 24 hours, but that's only on the weekends. Anyway, the lights were off and it looked like everyone was gone. I was about to leave... then I saw Tony come up with a bag of carry out. He was waiting there to make sure I got my food. This is that kinda place.
